Body Gossip

Body Gossip is a campaign that promoted positive body image, encouraging everyone to embrace what they have and to be "the best version of themselves". As a young girl growing up in a society with a fixed perception of how we should all look, Body Gossip's embracing encouragement comes as a breath of fresh air, as we see too many people fall victim to the pressure of the media. Both the efforts of co-founders Ruth Rogers and Natasha Devon have not gone unnoticed, having won Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women of the Year Award (in the Campaigners Category) last year.

Body Gossip have a number of innovative ways in which they convey their message to the masses, including:

by creating productions, based on stories written by their  audience about their bodies, with pieces performed by a celebrity cast (e.g. ambassador Zaraah Abrahams)

creating an awesome range of T-Shirts designed by Lee Simmons - what's not to love about these? My favourite is 'BeYOUtiful'... feel-good yet clever!

Releasing their very own book of stories, which has been given the fashion thumbs-up by none other than Gok Wan! It also contains celebrity entries from the likes of Craig Revel Horwood, Jermain Defoe and Alesha Dixon.

I have been completely inspired by Body Gossip to feel confident in my own skin and to be proud of the way I look, along with their work being incredibly important and fundamental to changing the opinions of the modern day. I am extremely excited about their upcoming production and projects, and cannot wait to continue to watch their campaign evolve!
