What's Hot Right Now: Retro Veronica Lake Waves

Get the Look Old Hollywood Style
While there were some updos and princess buns on this year’s red carpet, the overwhelming trend was for retro side partings with loose curls, reminiscent of a 1940 screen siren.

The forties influence was still very much in evidence at the Awards Season. This hair is classic, really flattering and extremely feminine and elegant. It is definitely a more glamorous style that dresses up an outfit. But while Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts and Naya Rivera stuck to a conventional Veronica Lake side-parting with loose waves, Amanda Seyfried, Julianne Moore and Jennifer Lawrence added a twist to the look, pinning one side of the hair back completely.

L'Oréal Hair Expert Johnny Lavoy shows us how to create a smooth, classic Hollywood look full of gorgeous shine.

PFW: Balmain Fall 2013 RTW

"For fall, the shtick descended into a parody of Eighties nouveau pastiche, where the big question Rousteing seemed to pose was, “What would Claude Montana do?”" WWD

The Most Buzzed Moments of the 85th Oscar Academy Awards

The Oscars as they are magical moments where stars make their appearances with the most beautiful looks, they represent also the embarrassing, hilarious, awkward situations. Fashion Instinct ditches to you the most buzzed moments of 2013 Oscars starring Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, & Ang Lee.

Vanity Fair’s publisher, Edward Menicheschi, Instagrammed this photo of Ang Lee, who won the directing Oscar for his adaptation of best-selling novel Life of Pi, mid-burger munch.

Ang Lee celebrated at In-N-Out Burger following his amazing Oscar win on Sunday night. Ang Lee's In-N-Out visit capped an altogether fantastic night for the filmmaker, whose movie Life of Pi scooped four awards in total. The famed director decided to go to one of the staple California landmarks to celebrate his win - In-N-Out Burger, and who can blame him?

A photo of Ang Lee has gone viral Monday, showing him dressed in what is obviously an extremely expensive tuxedo, while he is clutching his Oscar statue in one hand and biting into a big In-N-Out Burger with his other hand. He also had a couple of sodas to wash down the burger.

Attending the awards ceremony in a shimmering stunning white Reem Acra gown red highlights and reddish eye makeup, Kristen Stewart was spotted with one distracting accessory in the form of crutches.

The 22-year-old actress hobbled down the red carpet in crutches, ditching them only to pose for photos. No word on what K-Stew's injury is, but it certainly made for a memorable Oscars appearance.

Jennifer Lawrence, no stranger to awkward awards situations survived every actress’s worst nightmare when she fell in her Dior couture gown on the way to accept her Best Actress Oscar. That’s probably every woman’s ultimate fear in that kind of situation, right? But Lawrence handled it with such charm and humility her fall made everyone fall that much more in love with her

But Jennifer was not the first woman to have an embarrassing fall in Dior; that honor goes to Carrie Bradshaw. Who could forget the moment where Carrie enters Dior’s iconic Avenue Montaigne boutique, only to slip in a puddle of water and go flying across the shop?
Jennifer’s fall was considerably more graceful than Carrie’s, and of course the actress, who could charm her way out of pretty much anything, won the audience over by having a great sense of humor about the whole thing.

“You guys are just standing up ’cause you feel bad that I fell and that’s really embarrassing but thank you,” she said when she finally made it to the podium.

Adele to be Honored with a Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds London

The Oscar-winning Singer will join stars including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Amy Winehouse at Madame Tussauds.

Adele was awarded with a 'Best Original Song' Oscar for her James Bond theme 'Skyfall' at the 85th Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. After winning international acclaim and an Oscar, ADELE is soon to be immortalised with a Madame Tussauds waxwork. The figure will portray the singing sensation in a glamorous black knee length number, mirroring her Grammys 2012 look.

Madame Tussauds London PR manager Nicole Fenner said of the new aquisition: "Adele is the perfect addition to the music line-up here in London. She's one of the world's hottest properties right now and one of our most requested personalities. In fact, we've seen a huge increase in requests for her figure since 'Skyfall' was released and the timing seems perfect to honor her after such phenomenal success with the song. She is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside our other pop greats. We're very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London."

The figure is currently set to be unveiled in July at Madame Tussauds museums in London and Amsterdam.

Meryl Streep Oscars Looks Through the Years

The Oscar winner Diva has been stunning during all of the ceremonies. She chose the right dress for her shape, maturity, and elegance. Relive with us her latest Oscars appearances.

2013

Meryl Streep presented the ‘Best Actor’ award to Daniel Day-Lewis at the 2013 Oscars wearing a custom blue-and-grey soft paillette long sleeve Lanvin gown by Alber Elbaz, which is one of her best looks to date. Looking every bit the legend she is, Meryl styled her gown with two crystal cuffs, Fred Leighton triple drop antique cut diamond pendant earrings and Salvadore Ferragamo black satin shoes.
The star completed her look with a soft bronze lip color and swept back hair.

2012

On the red carpet at the 2012 Oscars, Meryl Streep arrived wearing this stunning custom made gold lamé draped Lanvin gown.
The gown was accessorized with a Lanvin woven gold and strass chain link belt, a Lanvin mother-of-pearl minaudiere and Salvatore Ferragamo gold lizard sandals.

2010

At the 2010 Oscars Meryl wore stunning white draped Chris March gown.
The ‘Project Runway’ Alum Chris March also designed Meryl’s Golden Globes gown. She paired her gown with a stunning crystallized clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Zena’ platform sandals.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West First Cover Magazine Together

Full Story

The power-couple known as Kimye has landed its first fashion mag cover, pairing up for L’Officiel Hommes.

The image shows Kim Kardashian and Kanye West locked in an embrace. We can only seek Kanye’s back with Kim’s eyes closed with an expression of ecstasy on her face. The cover shows off their romantic side while, perhaps, leaving too little to the imagination of the reader.
Kim recently said she was looking to take more of a step back from the spotlight now that she’s going to be a mother. However, we don’t know if we’re imagining it but since falling pregnant, Kim Kardashian seems to have been doing more work and not less. The reality star has taken part in more photoshoots during the last couple of weeks than we can remember.
They are not the first celebrity couple to pose nude together but chances are this cover will not be as iconic as the Rolling Stone cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1980. Shot by Anne Leibovitz, the photo of a naked Lennon curled around a fully clothed Yoko is immediately striking, perfectly conveys the relationship between the two as individuals and as artists.

Jennifer Lawrence Goes Brunette Hours After the Oscars

Check out Jennifer Lawrence with her freshly dyed hair below and tell us if you prefer her as a blonde or brunette
Just hours after Jennifer Lawrence's big win at the Oscars, the actress headed to the salon to ditch her blonde hair for a darker look as she continues shooting "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

The Best Actress winner all smiles as she left the Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa in Beverly Hills, where she got a fresh dye job. Jennifer went back to brunette so that she could return to work on Catching Fire in Hawaii. Her locks have been lighter for most of award season and were noticeably blond at Sunday's Oscars, but we prefer the brunette locks because they mean that Katniss is back!

Make sure to check out every looks from the Oscars red carpet!
