The fashion week drama has begun: Marc Jacobs had to postpone his Fashion Week show from Monday to Thursday at 8pm.
WWD is reporting that the designer was forced to postpone by a whole three days because of customs and delivery delays.
Marc Jacobs International president Robert Duffy said:
“We’re missing bags, shoes and two fabrics, Marc and I are extremely sorry for this inconvenience. We just want to have the best show possible and show all the product that our design team has been working on so hard for the last six months. We completely understand if people have to get on a plane to go to London. We’re not expecting people to change those plans or other plans just for us. We are live streaming the show. Still, we recognize the significant inconvenience and are very sorry about the situation.”The Marc by Marc will also be rescheduled. It will fill the Marc Jacobs slot on the schedule, showing at February 11 8 PM. It’s currently without a venue, as the set for the mainline show is already under construction at Jacobs’ traditional space of New York Armory at 68 Lexington Avenue.
